ACTIVITIES AT A GLANCE : The Orissa Scheduled caste & Scheduled Tribe Development Finance Corporation Limited (OSFDC) was registered in the year 1979 and the Phulbani District Unit has been functioning since 1982. It's objective is Multi dimensional covering wide spectrum of activities such as Agricultural Development, Animal Husbandry, Fishery, Small Business sector, Community Irrigation Projects under Composite Land based Schemes such as LIPs, W.H.S.,Energisation of Dug-wells and supply of Diesel Pumpsets, infrastructural Development Programme incidental to Income Generating schemes such as Shop room/KIOSKS/Workshed and Job & Employment, oriented training programmes in various trades in TRYSEM pattern for the common upliftment of S.C and S.Ts. below poverty line.
The area of operation of OSFDC for this District was further widened with the introduction of National Scheme for Liberation and Rehabilitation of Scavengers and their Dependants since 1992-93. From the year 1997-98, High Cost schems with unit cost exceeding Rs.35,000/- covering fields such as Agriculture, including Transport Sector have been made popular with 85% . Term loan from NSFDC and 10% Finance of OSFDC. The OSFDC under took to extend finance to Minority Community with Collaboration of NMFDC.
