N.I.C is empowered with latest informatics development and scattered
in cetral ,state, district HQs.
All these Centres are interlinked through Satellite which is controlled from
the "Master Earth Station"
at NIC(HQ) , Delhi and "Micro Earth Station" at all other Centres.
For the better planning at Centre
and State level, accurate , adequate , and timely information
are needed to the Planners and
Policy makers. Keeping this in view , a Satellite based
Computer & Communication network
called NICNET is introduced by NIC with the suggestion of
Govt. of India. NICNET is the
bridge between Central Govt. , State Govt. & District Administration.
Introduction to D.C.C:
To get a proper co-ordination between State Government Departments
and NIC , a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed
between State Govt. and NIC(Hq). As per the MOU , Committees at State
and District NIC centres are to be set up for better cooperation and review
of the performance and progress. The Committee at the District
level is called as the NIC District Co-ordination Committee(NDCC).

WEBEL PC 386 A/T Computer system replaced by Pentium(Meteor-100) system with 16 port LTS.
NEC P5 Printer replaced by NEC -P6 & DFX-8000 DMP printer.
UPGRADATION (1998):
DIREC P.C VSAT system installed in addition to existing C-200 MES.
Internet / e-mail service started with Windows-95 system
UPGRADATION IN (2000)
Windows 2000 Global Server along with two pentium-III system installed.
I.P.A. Satelite communication system installed & old C-200 controller withdrwan.
Also 2-KVA & 1-KVA online UPS installed to provide power backup to the systems.
UPGRADATION IN (2002-2003)
RAS Modem installed along with two new dial-up telephones to provide internet connectivity
to the remote users.
UPGRADETION IN (2005.)
DAMA VSAT installed to support Video conferencing in the District Unit.
Video Conferncing Studio established in Collectorate Building and opearational since Dec'2005.
UPGRADETION in (2007).
CISCO router switch along with 100 MBPs high speed leased line eastblished to
support Video Conferencing and Inetenet Connectiovity. Multi-Purpose Printer ,
additional Computer System is also added to existing Sysyem.
